The phenomena is that we are now an autonomous economy without the repercussions of our Northern neighbors.  This is not to naively state that we are not at all effected by what happens north of our borders, but merely an observation that it is no longer true that "when the US sneezes, Mexico catches a cold".</div> <bR> <div> This situation has been recently reflected in the rise of the Mexican economy and stock market in-spite of a downward trend in the US economy.  In fact the Mexican stock market had actually risen at points when the US market had fallen.
